Which Countertop Is Right For You?

There are many choices that you can make when choosing counter tops for your home.

There are no right or wrong answers it’s all about what works best in your home for you and your family.

Granite Counters

granite-webGranite counters are made from pure stone. The stone is cut into slabs and made into tiles and then polished to get ready for installation.

Granite shows slight, natural variations and range from earth tones to blues, greens and roses.

While Granite is strikingly beautiful it does have weaknesses. The stone needs to be sealed at installation and resealed on a regular basis. Quartz doesn’t require this level of care. In addition, natural stone countertops including granite, slate and sandstone stain quite easily. Costs are comparable to quartz but more expensive than laminate.

Quartz

The colouration of quartz is more consistent and is available in a wide array of colours.

Quartz is more durable than Granite and requires less overall maintenance and attention which is a main reason for many people choosing Quartz over Granite.
